that go back for generations. But there is plenty to do here besides working on the farm. The New River offers fine fishing, canoeing, and hiking and biking trails. The Mount Rogers Recreation Area is also loaded with hiking, equestrian, and biking trails. And, then there is the music. This part of the Blue Ridge Mountains is considered "World's Capital of Old-Time Mountain Music". You can hear live old-time fiddle and bluegrass music nearly any night of the week. The musical heritage is deep and folks here love to share it with all those who are willing to sit a spell and listen.
